3 Conflicts that made Power Season 6 Episode 10 the Best Episode of Power Yet

At the end of the day, Power has been all about the conflicts — physical, emotional, verbal, political, you name it! After the crazy mid-season finale, we decided to revisit the three conflicts that had us most excited for the episode, and what it means for the final episodes in January.

Spoiler Alert! This article contains spoilers from Power Season 6 — if you’re not caught up, we highly advise that you watch all episodes on the STARZ App before reading on.

1. Ghost vs. The World

We said after Episode 609 that “in an episode titled “No One Can Stop Me,” we’re excited to see what a desperate Ghost can do with his back against the wall.” That was all under the premise that Ghost – the main protagonist of the show – would come out on top, but little did we know the writers had the opposite in mind! The crazy ending had us all in shock, and while we don’t know the fate of our beloved James, we can guess away on #whoshotghost all the way till January 5th. There have been talks of hints being dispersed throughout the season, so we’ll be covering our prime suspects after re-watching the season in depth. Stay tuned for our predictions, but we also challenge you to do the same – it’s never been a better time to rewatch the series!

2. Tommy vs. his Crew

Before Ghost was shot in the club that began the series, he also made a lot of moves against his family & friends that became enemies throughout 6 seasons. Particularly mysterious was his call to 2-Bit, former underling of Tommy. Some people have been saying that call may be the key to the tragic ending, whether Ghost set up his own death with 2-Bit or Tommy found out about the call and decided to end it all that night. Whatever Ghost and 2-Bit talked about, it’s hard to believe that it won’t have a major impact on the final episodes.

3. Tariq vs. Maturity

One thing is clear: Tariq hasn’t matured for the mid-season finale. If anything, his attitude in episode 610 makes him one of our top suspects for the hit on Ghost. While we can sympathize with the betrayal Tariq must’ve felt when Ghost broke his promise about taking the fall for Ray Ray’s murder, how angry should you get when you’re the one that pulled the trigger? Regardless of whether or not he’s responsible for shooting his father, Tariq will be the key to the plot in the final episodes, and we can’t wait to see how the death (or near-death) of his father affects him.

The final episodes of Power are coming January 5th, which give us fans less than 2 months to mentally prepare for the end of our favorite series. As we mentioned earlier, we’re going to take this Power break to go back and revisit all our favorite moments, and refresh our memory with every detail. Who knows? Maybe we might crack the code to #whoshotghost. Join us in our Power marathon by starting your free trial on the STARZ App!
