Andie Changes The Way I Feel About Swimwear

As much as we all want to feel our most beautiful, confident selves on the beach, I can say firsthand– I usually dread swimsuit season, and end up buying suits that don’t make me feel as good as I could in my own skin or as confident as I could be. I have always had a pretty athletic body, and I am very tall. So, it is hard to find suits that both fit me, and make me feel confident and cute. When I heard the buzz about Andie Swim, a swimwear brand dedicated to flattering, high quality, classic suit styles designed by women, for women, I was instantly intrigued. I tried two of Andie’s most iconic styles, and can definitely say they’re worth the hype!

The Go-To

My first suit was the Ibiza one piece in Terra bone. I’m a tall girl, at 5’11, and I am very long waisted, so I was glad to try the long torso suit, and it didn’t disappoint. I felt confident and sporty, and not like my suit was squeezing in all the wrong places. It is a suit that I feel like I could swim, run, play soccer on the beach, whatever in with confidence. The size chart was accurate and helpful in ordering, along with the many reviews on the site. I also loved the adjustable straps. I feel like this suit will be a casual go-to suit for me this summer.

The Bold

My second suit was a two piece– the High Waisted Cheeky bottom and the Wynwood top, both ribbed and in black. The Wynwood top is a more daring style than the Ibiza, with a very dramatic one shoulder look, so I was a little nervous. That being said, it was so chic and flattering, as well as providing full coverage while still feeling fun and flirty. Also, they have so many other colors to mix and match. The fit as well was great– I got a different size in the top and bottom to make sure it fit my frame perfectly.

Andie Really Delivers

I pretty much instantly fell in love with both suits. Andie nails the fabric– I tried the Ribbed and the Terra textures and both were so cool, soft, and form fitting without making me feel naked. On top of that, the cuts were simple and flattering. I felt like a classic beach bombshell even just taking mirror selfies in my living room. Plus, I loved supporting the Andie brand anyway, and really appreciate that they have a genuine, vested interest in fitting women of all bodies, ethnicities, and preferences, and making them feel good in their own skin.

My shipments from Andie were dispatched and shipped incredibly quickly– I was shocked when I opened my mailbox just a few days after ordering. The packaging was minimal, but included a helpful card with instructions on how to properly care for your suit and keep it looking good, which I appreciated after spending more than I usually would on a more cheaply made suit.

The Verdict

After trying Andie, reading the personal reviews from women for whom Andie swim has been life changing, seeing the women-owned team running Andie, and trying these suits for myself, I can honestly say that Andie changes the way I feel about swimwear, and about myself in swimwear. I won’t spend any more days distracted on the beach or by the pool worrying about body parts hanging out, or looking unflattering. It makes me excited to put my suit on this summer, which I can’t say I usually feel. I would recommend it to anyone I know in a heartbeat.
